Greetings dear Pokemon Action Figure fans! Today I am going to introduce to you yet another cool Pokemon Action Figure. This Pokemon is a cool and hugh and maybe you can say rare and uncatachable pokemon which also appears in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. If you have watched Giratina and the Sky Warrior then you would know which pokemon I am talking about. The pokemon is Giratina. Let me show you a shot of this cool Giratina pokemon, both in its original form and also in another form. You can catch both these forms in the eleventh Pokemon movie as well as the first Pokemon Diamond and Pearl movie known as Giratina and the Sky Warrior .

Giratina has a long, platinum-colored, segmented body with six legs, and has ghostly wings with spikes. As mentioned, the Giratina pokemon is seen in the film 'Giratina and the Sky Warrior' as well as in the game Pokémon Platinum where it has a new form called Origin Form, which is similar to its Another Form except that it has a slightly different head with a mandible like mouth, long "tentacle like fillers" with spikes instead of wings, and spikes in place of legs. This form seems to be more devilish if you do not mind me using this word and perhaps Giratina is more like a serpent. As for Giratina's Another Form, Giratina looks like a basilisk. (The basilisk is a legendary reptile reputed to be the king of serpents and said to have the power to cause death with a single glance.) In Giratina's Another Form, it has a beak-like mouth, a crown on the head, red eyes, large, spiked wings and six legs. You can also see the serpentine tail here, which probably morphs with the six legs to form only the tail for Giratina's Origin Form.

I have put up pokemon action figures of both Giratina forms above. Both pokemon action figures are from the Japanese Takara TOMY Pokemon Monster Collection, which is the only collection that features every Pokemon ever made. These PVC pokemon action figures are beautifully crafted and not easy to find in the US market. The Giratina figures are about 2" in size and are new and sealed in Japanese Takara TOMY packaging. Oh and do not ask me why there are two forms of Giratina. But I do understand that Giratina, in its Origin Form, is more for offense and attack, while its Another Form is more for defensive purposes.

Let me give you more details on the Giratina pokemon. Giratina is known as the Renegade Pokémon. It is considered a legendary Pokémon and is a very powerful pokemon that is known to control inter-dimensional travel. If you know the other two legendary pokemon in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl series, who are Palkia and Dialga, they control space and time respectively. These three cool pokemon live in distortion world, which is a reverse dimension that is the opposite of our dimension on Earth. I know this is very difficult to understand because I cannot really visualise this too! But since Dialga and Palkia can control space and time, while Giratina is known to be able to control all dimensions, these three pokemon supposedly allow the balance of the dimensions to be maintained.

One of Giratina's most powerful and signature move is "Shadow Force". With this move, Giratina suddenly vanishes (perhaps distorting the dimensions to do this) and appears somewhere to attack with powerful force. It is the only Ghost-type legendary Pokémon to date and is also the only Pokémon to have weaknesses to both of its own types (Giratina is a ghost and dragon pokemon). Like other legendary pokemons, Giratina does not evolve.

In one of my previous posts on the Regigigas Pokemon Action Figure, as I was talking about the pokemon movie Giratina and the Sky Warrior, I have briefly mentioned about Giratina. In this Pokemon Anime Movie, Zero, the bad guy in the movie had wanted to use Giratina's power to travel freely between dimensions. He entered the Reverse World where Giratina resides, and began destroying some ice pillars, awakening Regigigas' from his sleep. Dawn, the pokemon coordinator (you may go to my post on Dawn Pokemon Action Figure to find out more about Dawn) failed to get her pokemon to stop the icebergs from falling but received help from Regigigas and a herd of Mamoswine who held the glacier up. It was only in the end when Giratina healed the broken ice pillars that the glacier stopped.

Dawn Pokemon Action Figure

If you are an old pokemon fan and not been keeping in touch with Pokemon news, then perhaps you may not know who Dawn is as she only appeared in the Pokemon anime quite late in the series. To give a short introduction to Dawn, she only appears in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Animes which is Season 10 of the Pokemon series. Dawn is a 10 year old girl who lives in the region of Sinnoh (Sinnoh is a large region that is the setting for the Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum games. It is located far North of the Kanto/Johto landmass and contains a large amount of towns and cities). For her, she aspires to be a great Pokemon Coordinator as she wants to follow in her mother's footsteps (contrast this with Ash's desire to the the greatest Pokemon Trainer while Brock wants to be the greatest Pokemon Breeder).

At the beginning of the episode, Dawn goes to the Pokémon Laboratory in Sandgem Town to get her starter Pokémon. She meets Professor Rowan on the way to the Lab and she gets her first Pokémon which is a Piplup. In the meanwhile, Ash arrives in Sinnoh by ship, but he loses Pikachu in a forest as he had a battle with Team Rocket. In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Dawn subsequently meets up with Ash and Brock. During the adventures of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, she becomes rivals with another coordinator, Zoey, as well as her childhood friend, Kenny. She even goes on to win the Floaroma Ribbon, the Wallace Cup's Aqua Ribbon, the Celestic Ribbon and the Chocovine Town Ribbon. These are all contests for Pokemon Coordinators. Well seriously, I did not watch Pokemon Diamond and Pearl but it sure sounds interesting!

Buneary Pokemon Action Figure

Take one look at the Buneary pokemon and any smart Pokemon fan will know that this pokemon is actually based on the rabbit. Buneary are small furry mammalian Pokémon bunnies with long ears, hence its name, which comes from the words bunny and eary, which means its ears of course. Do not belittle the ears of the Buneary pokemon as they can pack a punch when rolled up like buns to deliver punches. Like bunnies, they also have impressive jumping ability. Anyways, Buneary is a Normal-type Pokémon which evolves into Lopunny via Happiness. The fur of the Buneary is mostly brown, but some areas on the ears, feet, and underbelly are lighter in tone. Buneary can only be found in Eterna Forest.

In the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Anime, Buneary made its first appearance in "Following a Maiden's Voyage". Subsequently, in "Two Degrees of Separation!", Dawn tried to catch a Buneary but failed. Finally, Dawn catches a Buneary in the episode "Setting The World On Its Buneary". Very interesting, this Buneary has a crush on Ash's Pikachu! Like I mentioned, I have not watched Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Anime hence I do not know if any love stories develop between the two pokemons, and I am also not sure if any love stories develop between Ash and Dawn!

In my previous Pokemon Action Figures post, I have not only talked about Ash and Misty Pokemon Action Figures and also the infamous Team Rocket Jessie and James Pokemon Action Figures, and even further back, I have also talked about some Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Action Figures. For this post of mine, I am going to introduce to you yet another famous character that you should get a Pokemon Action Figure. He is from the good side and one of Ash Ketchum's good pals. He is none other than Brock! And to top it off, the Brock Pokemon Action Figure is packaged together with other Pokemon from the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Action Figures series! Now is that cool or what?

Brock Pokemon Action Figure

Let me first give an introduction to the Brock Pokemon Action Figure. Brock is actually the Gym Leader of Pewter City and his forte is in using Rock-type Pokémon. In the Pokemon animation series, he left his position as Pewter City Gym Leader to travel with Ash Ketchum and his pokemon on his journey after Ash wins his first Kanto League Gym Badge from him. While Ash's dream is to be the best Pokemon Trainer, Brock aspires to be the best Pokémon Breeder.

In the Pokemon Anime, Brock is first seen taking care of his ten siblings. Ash initially loses to Brock in the Pokemon battle, however a stranger (later revealed to be Brock's father, Flint) offers to help make Ash's Pikachu stronger, by hooking Pikachu up to a local hydro-power station. For those who are less knowledgeable on Pokemon, lightning pokemon such as Pikachu are weak against rock type pokemon, which Brock is a trainer of. The stronger Pikachu is able to defeat Brock's Geodude, but not Onix. However, note that rock type pokemon are weak against water, and because Pikachu's previous electric attack had set off the sprinklers in the gym, Onix was weakened and was thus finally defeated. Ash declines the badge from Brock as he felt that the battle was not fair, but Brock eventually gives him the badge. Brock then joins Ash and Misty (I also introduced the Misty Pokemon Action Figure in my previous post on Ash and Misty Pokemon Action Figures) on their journey in the Pokemon filled world.

In some ways, it is interpreted by pokemon fans that Brock may be Ash's best and favourite friend, much like Ash and Pikachu (and perhaps Brock is Ash's favourite friend too). This can be seen as Brock has been seen with Ash in every season of Pokemon anime (except Season Two: Orange Islands when he is with a lady to be elaborated in more detail later). In most Pokemon episodes, Brock would guide Ash and make sure that he does not get into any danger. The two of them very rarely fight (though this can occur sometimes) and often team up to beat Team Rocket and other obstacles.

Out of all of Ash's friends, Brock is considered the most mature, wise, level-headed and intelligent (except when he meets girls that he is infatuated with, will explain more about this later!). He often acts as the older brother and caretaker, and will usually place others before him, supporting his friends in times of need and acting as the mediator when Ash and his team gets into arguments. He is also hardworking and ever willing to help others. One particular observation if you watch the Pokemon anime is that Brock rarely gets involved in Pokemon battles (maybe he is supposed to be just a Pokemon Breeder thats why) but do not forget that he was once a Gym Leader and thus knows much about Pokemon battle strategies.

In addition, Brock is very well-equipped and he always carries books and maps with him, acting as the navigator of the group. He also carries a lot of supplies, especially Pokemon food (Brock is skilled at making food for Pokémon and a good advantage of having Brock around is that he can cook too!) as well as potions, cookware and practical tools. Brock prepares food and does most of the chores for the traveling group. You can say that Brock plays a domestic role and would make a very good housewife, handling all the cooking and cleaning and taking very good care of all your Pokemon! I understand that most Pokemon anime fans actually find it disappointing that Brock only plays a small supporting role in the Pokemon animations and hence would like to see him take a bigger role in the series. Hopefully this can be achieved in the future. His role has always been supporting one , hence some fans find it disappointing and want him to take a more active role in the series.

Other than aspiring to be the best Pokémon Breeder, unknown to many people is Brock's other goal in life. Would you be able to guess what this goal is? It has nothing to do with Pokemon though, but you can get some hints when you see Brock being infatuated with some girl whom he meets on his travels and journeys with Ash. His other goal is actually to find a girlfriend! If you are an avid fan of Pokemon Anime, you would have seen many episodes where Brock makes advances on some new girl that he meets in that Pokemon anime episode. The final outcome is unfortunately usually either rejection or most of the times he is forced to make a retreat by Misty or Max (who will pull him away by the ear). Sometimes even Brock's Pokémon, Croagunk (I will intoduce him later in this post as Croagunk is one of the Pokemon Action Figures sold together with the Brock Pokemon Action Figure) will attack him with poison jab and pull him away.

Fortunately or unfortunately, there was one good (bad?) relationship which happened for Brock. In the Orange Islands series of the Pokemon anime, Brock leaves Ash and his team to join Professor Felina Ivy (Pokémon Professor from the Orange Islands). Later on, Brock is seen to return to Pallet Town when Ash wins the Orange League Championship. Brock refuses to explain why he left her, only that he would use this statement "Don't mention that name!" everytime someone asks about it. It would seem that it was a failed relationship though. The most common girls that we see Brock interacting with on the Pokemon show include the various Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys, which interestingly Brock can differentiate based on his own distinct observations. He can even spot impostor Joys or fake Jennys instantly!

Once Brock has rejoined Ash and Misty, the group travels to Johto, and after the Silver Conference, Brock heads back to Pewter City where he discovers that his estranged mother Lola (a Water Pokémon Trainer) has ruined the reputation of his Gym by turning it into a Water-type gym. He defeats his mother to restore the Gym's reputation. Once again, Brock decides to go off, leaving all his Pokémon (except Forretress) to his younger brother Forrest, to Hoenn region to rejoin Ash and his two new friends, May and Max.

Croagunk Pokemon Action Figure

Croagunk is a dual-type Poison/Fighting Pokémon which evolves into Toxicroak from level 37. The Croagunk pokemon was most likely created based on the poison dark frog, since it is a frog that is able to use poison. It also has a white band around its waist and red and black markings on its hands and feet, similar to such poisonous frogs. The body of the Croagunk pokemon is dark blue in colour and it is a bipedal frog, which means that the frog moves by means of its two rear limbs or legs. Croagunk are a mischievous bunch of pokemon and they live in moist areas close to bodies of water. Looking at the frog, it looks a bit like a boxer as well, with its front limbs looking like they are gloved. The jutting bugs bunny teeth also make it appear that Croagunk is wearing a mouthguard. Hence you know why it is a fighting pokemon!

Croagunk's poison is actually found in its cheeks. This poison can be channelled to its fingers (especially when its middle finger glows purple) allowing it to poison opponents when they are stabbed. Croagunk can also possess the unique Dry Skin ability, which allows it to heal in the presence of water such as during rain or when Croagunk is hit by a Water-Type attack. Croagunk and its evolved pokemon form Toxicroak are the only Pokémon to have the Poison/Fighting type combination, and as such, they are the only Pokémon to have a double weakness to Psychic attacks and are the only Poison-types to have any double weakness. The strange connection between Brock and Croagunk is because Brock captured a Croagunk in the episode "Gymbaliar". Hence we often see Brock together with Croagunk.

Sudowoodo Pokemon Action Figure

Strangely, I tried searching for Sudowoo and it seemed that the correct spelling for this pokemon is Sudowoodo! Anyways, whatever it is, I am referring to the same pokemon! Sudowoodo is a Rock-type Pokémon which evolves from Bonsly. Sudowoodo looks like a log with legs; it has a brown, long log-shaped body with some yellow spots and short legs with toe-less feet. Sudowoodo has club shaped hands like tree branches that remain green year-round. The Sudowoodo pokemon pretends to be a plant, but strangely, it is afraid of water, and its make-up is closer to a rock than to a plant.

Sudowoodo, being a tree like pokemon, obviously can be found living in groups in the forests. By pretending to be trees, the Sudowoodo pokemon tries to blend in with their surroundings to avoid detection by predators. Unfortunately, Sudowoodo's camouflage fails during the winter as it's forearms remain green throughout the four seasons. Sudowoodo pokemons may thus migrate to the southern regions during the winter to avoid detection.

In terms of fighting abilities, Sudowoodo is known for Mimicking its opponents' attacks. As a Rock-type Pokémon, Sudowoodo is capable of a wide variety of Rock and Ground attacks such as Stone Edge and Earthquake. It can also learn Fighting-type attacks, such as Hammer Arm and Brick Break.

Brock did not catch a Sudowoodo Pokemon, but Brock's Sudowoodo actually evolved from Bonsly (in the episode Leave It To Brocko). If you ask me, Bonsly is so much cuter than Sudowoodo! Anyways, Bonsly was the only Pokémon caught by Brock in the Battle Frontier saga, in the episode "From Cradle to Save". Bonsly was like a baby which Brock took good care of by bottle-feeding Bonsly until it could eat solid food. Even more interestingly, in the Pokemon anime, Bonsly could be seen to occasionally take over from Max in getting Brock away from girls. Instead of pulling Brock's ear, Bonsly would hit him with a powerful Take Down attack! In an episode where Bonsly was captured by Team Rocket, the cute pokemon evolved into Sudowoodo to help free Brock and a Nuzleaf.

Sudowoodo is very different from Bonsly and instead of being needy and reliant on Brock's care, Sudowoodo is a very helpful pokemon to Brock. It would seem that it has grown from a baby Pokémon into an adult Pokémon, showing Brock's true talents as a Pokémon Breeder. Sudowoodo also interestingly likes to salute Brock like a soldier whenever he is released from a Pokeball.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Action Figures - Wave 4 Single Pack Figure Case

Following up on my first post on the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Action Figures for Wave 1, this post is about Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Action Figures for Wave 4 Single Pack Action Figure Case. This case contains 12 individually-packaged figures, which include the following characters: Budew, Cherrim, Crobat, Electivire, Girafarig, Grotle, Misdreavus, Monferno, Prinplup, Shieldon, Shinx, and Staravia. The pokemons are subjected to change though.

Looking at the above picture, I will describe the various pokemon starting from the top left hand corner, then from left to right from the top row to the bottom.

Budew Pokemon Action Figure

Budew was first introduced to the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl series as Roselia's pre-evolved form. The Budew is a dual-type Pokémon that has the elements of Grass and Poison. It is a baby pokemon which evolves into Roselia via happiness in the day. Subsequently, Roselia can evolve into Roserade by using a Shiny Stone. If you know how Roseila and Roserade looks like, Budew seriously does not have any similarities to its evolved forms. However, when the two "vines" that are on top of Budew's head open up, a big spot can be seen on each of the vines, one of which is blue and the other is red. These two vines are what will be the Roseila Pokémon's flower holding arms, one of which is blue and the other is red. Budew also appears to be wearing a green bib. This will be Roseila’s skirt when it evolves into Roseila. Budew can basically anything Roselia and Roserade can do, just that its abilities are weaker. Do take note that however the Water Sport and Worry Seed attacks can only be learned by Budew.

Cherrim Pokemon Action Figure

Cherrim is a Grass-type Pokémon which evolved from Cherubi (the grass type cherry pokemon) when it has reached level 25. Cherrim reminds me of sunshine and I guess this pokemon is associated with sunshine as well. Cherrim has two different forms, both of which are dependent on the weather. During normal weather conditions, Cherrim appears as two crossing purple petals with a short purple stem, a green leafy sepal covering, and two deep pink feet. This is the overcast form. When there is strong sunlight, it appears to have a skirt and hair made of pink cherry-blossom petals. This is the form which is shown in the picture above and is known as the sunshine form. Though the bud form is quite docile, Cherrim is much more happier in its flower form. Cherrim is said to release all of its pent up anger when it opens. Because of this, it is continuously happy until it closes again. In the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl game, its Flower Gift ability strengthens it when it is sunny.

Crobat Pokemon Action Figure

Crobat is a Pokemon that does not need much introduction, if you are a Pokemon Anime watcher (Brock, one of the main characters of the Pokemon anime had a Crobat which was evolved from the Zubat which he originally caught very early on in the original series. The Zubat had then evolved into a Golbat, and subsequently into a Crobat. He eventually gave the Crobat to his brother Forrest) or if you are more familiar with the earlier Pokemon versions (to tell you the truth I got quite lost during Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, I’m more familiar with the Pokemon up till the Gold and Silver editions).

Anyway, Crobat is a dual-type poison and flying type pokemon and is also the evolution of Golbat via happiness from the Pokemon Gold and Silver editions. Crobat is a cave-dwelling Pokémon, and has a purple body, which is not similar to its pre-evolutions which have a blue body. Crobat has a stubby pair of feet and has developed a second pair of wings. Two of the wings remain as main wings while it has another two secondary wings, compared to the Golbat which only had two wings. The evolution of two extra wings from Golbat to Crobat allows the Crobat to pursue its prey faster and more silently, as well as to fly longer distances by alternating the wings it uses. Crobat's wings have also developed a more powerful cutting edge for using Cross Poison and X-Scissor. Like most fully evolved Pokémon, Crobat can learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact.

Electivire Pokemon Action Figure

Electivire was previously described in my earlier post on Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Action Figures - Wave 1. If you are interested to know more about the Electivire, you can take a look at that post.

Girafarig Pokemon Action Figure

Girafarig is a very unusual Pokemon that does not evolve. It is also one of the only two Normal dual-type Pokémon (Normal/Psychic Pokémon) that is not part Flying-type. The other such Pokemon is the Bibarel, a beaver type Pokemon. Girafarig is a herbivore (that means it eats plants) and it resembles a giraffe greatly. It is yellow with dark brown spots on the front half of its body; while the back half of its body is dark brown in colour with yellow spots (this section is smaller in females and only contains one yellow spot). In the front, the Girafarig has a long neck (not considered that long if you look at the modern day giraffes!), with pink spikes running down the back. Even more unusual is that the end of Girafarig's tail has a simplistic head, which even has a small brain of its own! Girafarig therefore has a good sensing of its environment. If somebody gets near its back portion of its body, the head would react to the person's scent and bite! The head also doesn't need to sleep, hence it is able to watch over the Girafarig twenty four hours a day like a security guard.

As the Girafarig is a part Normal-type, it is immune to Ghost-type attacks, which are more dangerous to its Psychic typing. This dual typing also negates a Normal's Pokemon’s weakness to Fighting, leaving it weak to the moves of only two types: The Dark-type and the Bug-type. Pokemon gamers do take note of this rare and useful Pokemon!

Grotle Pokemon Action Figure

Grotle is a Grass-type Pokémon that evolves from Turtwig from level 18, and evolves into Torterra from level 32. It is like a tortoise just that it has trees growing on its back which is like a tortoise shell. Turtwig looks similar with a shell, but during evolution, this shell grows larger to protect Grotle's entire head and back. Turtwig's sprout or young greeny plant also migrates to Grotle's back and grow into full bushes. Grotle has the ability to sense where pure water wells up and has a special affinity for water, hence living alongside water in forests. During the daytime, it leaves the forests to let the trees on its back take in sunlight. Amazingly, berries can grow on the trees on the back of its shell and sometimes Pokémon will just come to peck the berries growing there! These Pokémon are sometimes “carried” by Grotle. Sometimes, Grotle may also carry nuts like acorns on its bushes. Again like the tortoise, the Grotle is a very slow and gentle creature which only battles when necessary. In the Pokémon anime, Ash has a Turtwig that eventually evolved into Grotle. Grotle also likes rolling around in dirt and mud. This allows minerals to seep in and make its shell even harder.

Misdreavus Pokemon Action Figure

Misdreavus is a dark bluish-green Ghost-type Pokémon that evolves into Mismagius when exposed to radiation from a Dusk Stone. Not to sound too horrific but Misdreavus looks like the disembodied head of a human female, with eyes that are yellow with red irises. It is after all a ghost pokemon! It however lacks a nose but has thick flowing “hair” and wears a necklace of red pearls. This pearl necklace serves as a means for Misdreavus to feed on the fearful feelings of targets for nutrition. Misdreavus is thus a phobovore as it eats fear in addition to normal food. Misdreavus lives deep inside dark caves, dark forests or run-down buildings. Any enemies that it encounters would be scared away by its frightening screeching and wailing noises. Sometimes, the Misdreavus Pokémon will attempt to drive its enemies away by biting and pulling at the hair of the intruder. The Misdreavus Pokemons are thus well known to be pranksters. Misdreavus can use various Ghost, Dark, Psychic, and Electrical attacks and is thus a well rounder fighter. Misdreavus is also the only known Pokémon that learns Pain Split by level-up.

Monferno Pokemon Action Figure

When you see the name of this Pokemon, immediately you would guess that it is a fire Pokemon, since it rhymes with the word “inferno”. Well, Monferno has the word “mon” from the word “monkey” as it looks very much like a monkey (in fact it reminds me of the Monkey God from the Chinese classics “Journey to the West”). Some people say that Monferno resembles a Baboon due to the blue and red markings on its face. It is also playful like the monkey. Anyway, Monferno is a dual-type Fire/Fighting Pokémon, which evolves from Chimchar starting at level 14, and subsequently evolves into Infernape (again the “ape” gives the game away) starting at level 36. Monferno's abilities are similar to Chimchar's, only stronger. After evolving from Chimchar, Monferno grows an evident tail which is similar to those of Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard, which has flames at the tip of the tail. The flame on Monferno's tail is used as a weapon and the size of the flame is increased in to attack or scare foes away. Monferno can climb onto walls to shoot aerial attacks. In addition, Monferno is capable of a few new Fighting-type moves; such as Close Combat and Focus Blast, as well as Flare Blitz.

Prinplup Pokemon Action Figure

Prinplup resembles a blue penguin. The prinplup evolves from Piplup starting at level 16, and evolves into Empoleon (sounds like the Emperor Penguin?) starting at level 36. If you have played Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, you would know that the Prinplup is one of the three species of Pokémon players can choose from at the beginning of the game. The Prinplup has yellow three-toed feet and a light-blue coloured body. There are four white button-like spots on its stomach and its wings are dark-blue with light-blue tips, with claws hidden inside the flesh of its wings. Prinplup lives along shores in northern countries in drifting ice near freezing water. It is a skilled swimmer and can dive for over 10 minutes at a time. Piplup are Pokemon that have a very high sense of self-pride and dislike receiving food from others. It may be a poor walker and often falls down, but because it is a proud Pokémon, it always gets back up. Prinplup is stronger than its pre-evolved form, Piplup, and is capable of and can learn Metal Claw and Shadow Claw.

Shieldon Pokemon Action Figure

Shieldon somewhat reminds me of dinosaurs like the triceratops. Anyway, the Shieldon Pokemon is a dual-type Rock/Steel Pokémon and is a Pokémon that lived in dense jungles one hundred million years before the series. It is resurrected from an Armor Fossil (found in the Sinnoh region) and evolves into Bastiodon starting at level 30. Shieldon is a small reptile with a yellow body. It also has white toes and bears a white bump on its back. The hard face of the Shieldon is dark-gray in colour and oval in shape. The Shieldon polishes its hard face by rubbing it against tree trunks. Though the facial hide is very hard and tough, the Shieldon is vulnerable to attacks from behind.

Shinx Pokemon Action Figure

Shinx is an Electric-type Pokémon that evolves into Luxio starting at level 15, and subsequently Luxio can evolve into Luxray starting at level 30. It is another strange looking Pokemon and is supposedly based on a lion cub or kitten. It has tufts of hair which will eventually grow into a mane (a female's mane doesn't stick up as much as a male's). It mainly has blue fur on its body, with some black fur under its torso. It also has a long black tail with a gold four-pointed star on the end. A yellow band can be seen on each of the Shinx’s forelegs; these bands are able to generate electricity (like the red spots on Pikachu's cheeks). When faced with enemies, the Shinx will shoot out a dazzling light from every hair on its body to blind the intruder and then run away. In the wild, all three forms of this Pokemon, Shinx, Luxio, and Luxray generally hunt for food like the lion in the wild.

Staravia Pokemon Action Figure

Staravia is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon. It evolves from Starly starting at level 14, and evolves into Staraptor starting at level 34. Staravia is one nice looking bird Pokemon and it resembles a white-cheeked Starling. The name Staravia derives from the English words starling and avian. Staravia's Japanese name is known as the Mukubird (do not ask me what bird this is?!) which could refer to the mukudori bird. Incidentally, Staravia has a small M pattern on its chest, which likely refers to the M in Mukubird. The Staravia also has a crest on top of its head and a black and orange colored beak like a quail. It has eyes that are bent inward to give an intimidating look to its prey. The Staravia live in forests or plains. They have large wings that allow them to fly for long periods and with much agility. Staravia tend to live in large flocks and hunt together with other Staravia or with other bird Pokémon. The food of the Staravia is actually bug Pokemon and sometimes they are also known to eat the Yache Berry. The Staravia spend a lot of time preening their feathers, searching for food, or spending time with others of the colony. However, if two rival Staravia meet, they may even fight ferociously with each other!

Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl, was aired in Japan as Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl. Pokemon has definitely come a long way; the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl series is actually the tenth season of the Pokémon animated series, covering the continuing adventures of the lead character in the series, Ash Ketchum, and his friends as they travel to Sinnoh and meet new friends along the way. This time, he is accompanied with his old friend Brock, the guy who specialises in rock pokemon and a new trainer named Dawn.

In my first few posts on Pokemon Action Figures, I will introduce some of the action figures found in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl series. Electivire Pokemon Action Figure

Electivire is known as the Thunderbolt Pokémon, and is the evolved form of Electabuzz. Electivire's back has a symbol that looks similar to a socket outlet, and you can see like two wires jutting out of its back. These are actually the Electivire's tails and the small red parts on the end of the tails resemble red LEDs. It also has red eyes and can shoot 20,000 volts of electricity out of its tails. To get a Electivire, one must trade an Electabuzz while holding an Electrizer.

Palkia Pokemon Action Figure

Palkia is known as the Spatial Pokémon, and is a legendary Pokémon part of the Legendary Dragon trio, together with Dialga and Giratina (I am not sure why Giratina is not included in this Pokemon Action Figure Pack). It represents spatial matter whereas Dialga represents time and Giratina represents dimension. Both Palkia and Dialga look like dinosaurs. Palkia has wings on its back which can open up to allow it to fly. It is also characterised by purple stripes on its neck and tail, with a pink pearl on each shoulder plate. It is said that Palkia's breath keeps space and matter stabilized. Its signature move is the "Spacial Rend", a slash of power which can tear its foes apart with matter surrounding it.

Dialga Pokemon Action Figure

Dialga is known as the Temporal Pokémon, and as mentioned earlier is part of the Legendary Dragon trio, along with Palkia and Giratina and has the ability to control time. Dialga is also said to be the ancient deity of the Sinnoh region and it was created by Arceus, at the point when time began to flow. It has a long neck, short tail and a thick set of legs with sharp, metal claws. It also has many silver protrusions that look like spikes appearing on the back of its neck, head, top rear, and chest. Lodged into its chest is a glowing blue, diamond-like jewel. Dialga's signature move is the "Roar of Time", a large beam of energy that can be used to distort time.

Lucario Pokemon Action Figure

Lucario is known as the Aura Pokemon and is a Fighting and Steel type Pokémon combined. It is the only Pokémon with a 4x resistance to Dark-type moves. Lucario is a bipedal, 2 legged jackal-like Pokémon that is four feet in height. It's forepaws are black and have one white spike on each arm. There is also a third spike on Lucario's chest. Lucario has the ability to sense the aura of all living creatures. By catching the aura emanating from other living beings, it can read their thoughts and movements.
